Our lab is interested in synapses and neuronal circuits, both in health and disease.

In order to achieve our goals we use a multidisciplinary approach. By combining single to multicell recordings, we try to understand the role of individual neuron types in complex networks. Furthermore, we use optobiology (e.g. functional microscopy, optogenetics) to understand the dynamics of neuronal processes.
